Thorold, ON - The day started off great for the Pakmen 13U Girls. They had a near perfect start keeping the Interclub to single digits and very few balls landing on the court on our side. With confidence the team went into the next match only to lose focus and begin making many unforced errors. Strong hits that go out are one thing but slow feet and a lack of concentration is not the way to compete. Despite the slow down, the girls still defeated the Niagara Rapids Blue. This set up the long wait for the quarter finals where the girls played better but still without the focus with which they began the day. With a relatively easy win, the team went onto the semi finals. Despite playing better, mental errors lead to our loss to the eventual champions. The day ended well, with Ms. Pakmen returning to confident, focused play, easily defeating Waterdown for the Bronze. We will continue to work hard and try our best to improve for our next tournament March 6.
