This past weekend, the Pakmen 14U girls won the Niagara Rapids Invitational tournament. The initial portion of the tournament was a round robin with each of the nine participating teams playing four others. For the playoffs the teams were ranked one through nine and the top three played off against each other. In pool play the Pakmen girls defeated the Halton Hurricanes Blue 2-0 (9th in Championship West Division Feb 20), DRVC 13U 2-0 (3rd in Championship East Division February 20th), split 1-1 with Halton Hurricanes Black, and defeated DRVC Orange 2-0. In the playoff round the team was perfect defeating Halton Hurricanes Black 2-0, and the host Niagara Rapids Black 2-0 (3rd Championship West Division February 20). The team played great defeating both Championship Division bronze medalists from the last 14U tournament, which the Pakmen 14U Girls did not attend. Congratulations team!!!
