Etobicoke- After three tournaments and three Bronze medal finishes, the U13 Ms. Pakmen Girls finally struck gold!  The team travelled to Etobicoke for the Bugarski Cup, their fourth OVA tournament of the year.  Playing well all day keeping almost every game to under 12 points for opponents, the team faced their rivals, Toronto West in the finals.  After winning the first game, the girls made a few mental mistakes to allow the second to get away from them.  In the third and final game the girls twice staved off game points to come back and win the match.  Losing 15-14 in the third game, the girls scored three straight points to win 17-15.  "We are very proud of the girls.  To dig deep and come back was great.  Many of our three bronze medals would have been higher if the girls could have focused at the right times.  This is a great finish heading into the Ontario Championships." said Head Coach Joe Grdisa.  The girls will compete next in a U14 tournament before heading to Kitchener for the Ontario Championships.
